Square knitting needles

I saw some of these yesterday and was wondering in what situation a knitter would prefer these. Maybe ribbon?

Just wondering.

I think so, just ribbon at time is pretty hard, i tried it once
But not with squared its better with circle

They are advertised to “make stitches more uniform” although I’ve never tried them myself.

They’re supposed to be easier on your hands too apparently, but I’ve never tried them either.

My mom ordered a pair to use on her dishrags…she did like the way they felt in her hands…and she did like the uniform of her stitches…however the finishing on the needles started to chip away after one row… she e-mailed the company just to let them know…she did tell them all the good she had found in them…but thought they might want to use something else on the needles…she never heard anymore back from them… for the cost of the needles she felt they shouldn’t chip…:teehee:
