This is a decoration I have on a wall in my backyard. After four years all the colors have faded. I went to a local craft store last night and walked away with small bottles of paint and brushes…And VOILA…new life again. Took me back to grade school!!!

Did you apply a finishing coat to help it make it through the weather?
I am still painting…but will put a lacquer coat on once i am through to help preserve it. Now that I have started this project I am eyeing other things (pots, planters, etc) to use more of the paint. I was engrossed today!!!
So good to see bright, cheerful colors somewhere. (We’re looking forward to the first spring snowfall that I can remember here in the DC area.) You’ve done a wonderful bit of restoration. I love it!
