Spindle wheel

Does anyone know about spindle wheels? I am looking at one tomorrow for $75. I realized it must be a spindle wheel because I don’t see any treadles in the photo. The seller doesn’t know anything about it. Does it sound worthy of a look?

I don’t know anything about them, but here is a video that shows someone using what I think you are talking about.

I saw that video last night–VERY cool!! I had no idea there was such a thing.

I looked at the wheel and I think it is a flyer-type wheel that is missing the treadle, footman, and flyer/bobbin assembly. I passed on it. It was fun learning about spindle wheels anyway.

Some treadle wheels can use both bobbins and spindles.

Some Great Wheels have treadles! (mine does not)

I love that utube video - one day, I want to be able to ‘dance’ with my Great wheel like she does.
