Hi, Stagebear has posted a pinwheel blanket in the ‘Whatcha Knittin’ forum http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/showthread.php?t=64259 that gave me hope toward making something like this:
Any ideas on how I could alter the pinwheel pattern here to create a web? I know it would take some creative decreasing!
Just an idea… don’t know if a good one or not, but rather than alter this pinwheel blanket, what if you were to do the circular blanket and either, using intarsia or an knitted on after embroidered add on, create the “web” in an alternate color?
My brain is toooo fried to think of anything more creative right now…sorry.
There is a pattern for a spider web that is crochet here.
Been looking for knit patterns and I’m just not coming up with anything…sorry.

it’s crochet, but you could change it to knit - just do it in st st (maybe the black rows in garter). and then add the vertical stripes after.
