Special Olympics Scarf

Woo Hoo! I finished the scarf I’ve been making for the Special Olympics.

I was afraid I would miss the deadline. But, I made it! :cheering:
Here’s the scarf:

And here I am, wearing the scarf in my craft room. (I think I look like a pastor or priestess!) :teehee: :

Sandy, that’s so pretty!! You’re always working on something for charity, aren’t you?! What a generous lady!

:happydance: it looks great!!

The scarf looks lovely Sandy ! Happy New Year

Thank you all for the kind comments. Have a wonderful 2009!

That’s cool, Sandy!

Thanks Jan!

Very nice, Sandy.

Are you feeling any better?

One of our many goals this year is to find some Special Olympics people to work with, or maybe help out at the local olympics. Friends with a Downs syndroms adult child say they need help running the events.

looks awesome, what a nice charity to support

Sandy, you are adorable…and of course, your knitting is great! You are a very special lady! One in a million!

That sure looks nice and warm, and such a pretty blue color. You’re gonna make someone feel very loved.

Thanks Deb! And yes, I’m finally starting to feel better. It feels good to eat again. I ate like a little piggy today! :teehee:

It’s good to hear that you’ll be helping out in your area.

Thank you!

cloud9 You’re precious to me too, Dollyce.

Thanks! The colors of the yarn were chosen by the project, so we were all using the exact same yarn all over the country. Some people were saying, “Can we use something besides Red Heart?” But they were told “No”. The main thing was that they wanted all the special olympians to have matching colors for the photos at the event.

I’ve been impressed to see all the different designs people have made. Some scarves were knit, and others were crochet. I think that a few were even woven! Pretty cool.

That’s so awesome. I taught a couple of people at work to knit, and we’re all making scarves too…the Special Olympics are being held here in Boise where we live, so we’re pretty excited about it.

!!:happydance: :yay:
so’s the scarf…

Happy New Year!!

Awesome! That’s so convenient for you! Good luck with your scarves.

Thanks Debbie! :muah:
Happy New Year to you as well.

Thanks TEMA!

Beautiful scarf!! What a great charity!

And your craft room is so… clean and organized :passedout: Mine looks like Sears exploded or I should say JoAnn’s exploded!

I strategically took the photo, so the mess is not showing. It’s on the other side of the room! :teehee:
