If anyone has gotten a Private Message from someone wanting you to read a book, I just want you to know that lots of us have gotten it and the person (Erin Pavlina) has been banned.

I figured it was spam and just deleted it. Man, those spammers will try anywhere anytime won’t they…:fingerwag:

These spam PM messages were going about on another forum and they banned the member as well.Thanks for letting us know.

I did too. But gave up after a couple paragraphs… Geez, I should have known it was spam!

Yeah I learned my lesson on clicking links…I clicked one on a forum once and I was greeted with a lovely pornographic image and some not nice things spewing out of my speakers. The only way to fix it was to turn my computer off. Viruses can hide in links too, so I try to avoid clicking on things I didn’t ask for, or am unsure about.

I didn’t delete the PM, but I did ignore it. Thanks for taking care of it :slight_smile:

Well, I was sooooo stupid. I didn’t have a clue and opened it. I didn’t even think of spam or whatever.

I just logged on and got the pm and sent a pm asking Amy about it but I didn’t open cause I never saw the name on the forum before Thank to the Mods and Admin for taking care of the Spammer :cheering:

Ha! I’d be more impressed if you guys banned all the people sending me Nigerian diplomat scams on my email account. THAT would be a feat!
Just kidding all, thanks for the heads up and the super quick action. No other board I frequent has mods as great as here!:muah:

Thanks for the info. I will delete it. It definitely looked suspicious to me but since it had a whole name attached to it, I was going to ask someone else on here if they knew anything about it before I opened it. I don’t get that many private messages so I was leary.
