Hello there nutty knitters! I was wondering if someone could explain to me the simplest way to knit 2 colors together without it being visible. I tried something last time and it doesn’t LOOK that good although it worked. I’ve seen alot of great projects and I just wanna know how to do it!
When you go from one color to the next, it will look like a smooth transition on the knit side, but you will always see both colors on the back–the purl side.
No not in the round, although that strategy seems like a gooden to try! I was referring to my simply striped scarf I just made… I couldn’t understand any of the techniques described online so I just did was my friend to me to which was double knot the colors together when switching and weave the ends in, except now the ends keep coming out.
How long are the ends you are weaving in? Are you using the duplicate stitch method of weaving in or just stringing the yarn wherever it wants to go?
There is a video here of duplicate stitch. You’ll have to scroll down to find it.
You SHOULDN’T have problems with the ends coming free if you have a long enough end and do duplicate stitch. I think Amy says you should be able to duplicate about 3 or 4 stitches…
