Someone absconded with my knitting!

I knitted up a little welcome mat for myself. Really it was just an experiment in knitting with two strands that I didn’t know what to do with. So I folded it up, put it outside my apartment door in the hallway and used it to wipe my snowy feet.

It was just a mediocre rectangle of work and I didn’t care about it…until I just went out in the hall to find it missing!!! Ahhhh! It’s gone!

I dunno what happened to it…I’m assuming someone just threw it out or something. But who does that? Boo! I’m a little bit heartbroken by this, which is strange since I didn’t give a hoot about the piece until it disappeared.

Guess I’ll just have to knit some more and superglue them to the hallway floor…hah!

Or somewhere there’s a knitter saying, “Look what I found lying in the floor!! I’m going to unravel it and reuse the yarn!” :rofling:

Heheheehe…well that’s a much better thought that thinking it’s in the trash with a velveteen rabbit somewhere. :rofling:

I think you should take this photo of your mat and tape it to the floor where the mat used to be. If someone did take it - maybe they will get the message!
