Some suggestions.. on cables

Hey ladies…I miss talking with everyone… :smiley:

I have a hat im knitting on size 8 straight needles, 88 stitches and im doing 2x2 ribbing for 1 inch or 1.5 inches. :XX:

I am supposed to do a k1 row and purl 1 row. till it is about 5-6 inches in length before i decrease. I really want to add cables and then the last two rows go back to K 1 row and purl last row before decrease… any suggestins…

And no im not knitting in the round (even though i have to do that very soon)

Help me out ladies! …give me some suggestions…SMOOCHES! :heart:

You could knit 4 purl 4 across and then keep the purls purls but cable the knits at whatever interval you think would work. If you want the cables wider than 4, you could increase to 90 and make p4, k6 with a 3/3 cable.
