Row 1: slip1, purl to end
Row 2: *slip1, knit 1, repeat from * to end.
This is my first sock. I understand the basic rule is to slip purlwise if not stated otherwise. My question in the above pattern, is the yarn always in the back but slipping purlwise for both rows 1 and 2?
I’m determined to be a sock knitter yet!
For row 1, the yarn is in front because it’s a purl row. Row 2 is a knit row, so the yarn is in back. You do slip purlwise on both rows.
