Sock formula

Does anyone know of a good basic sock formula. One that you can apply to any gauge you want?

I just saw him in Prozac Nation. I had already seen the movie & didn’t remember he was in it. And he plays a huge a@#hole (pardon my french) in Vanity Fair, which is a great movie.
