Hey! Two finished objects and some totally random images that got uploaded, jeez, I am such an idiot with a computer. There is a ski hat that I knit for my son, and the horse and firefighters (never saw that picture in my life, so apologies, don’t know where it came from) a nice mountain scene for your viewing pleasure, and the actual intended SOCK. All of this took 40 minutes away from my lifetime that I will never get back! This is probably why I don’t post more FO pics; the process is loaded with much drama and gnashing of teeth!

And now I am wondering whatever happened to that poor horse, jeez…
Lovely socks! Well done!!!
Are they comfy? Bet they are. Don’tcha just love 'em?
Come on, don’t be shy, just admit those pictures are all of things you’ve knit. :teehee:
They fit like a dream! These babies will never slip down into a shoe, that’s for sure!
Excellent!
That’s what hand knit socks are all about: fit, comfort, and not feeding them to your shoes.
Soon you’ll only be wearing hand knits on your tootsies.
Jinx, the sock is wonderful! Very well done. So is the ski hat.
The photo of the horse and the firemen looks like the inspiration for a short story. I’'m sure those crafty firemen figured out a way to help the horse out of the hole (or else the horse figured out how to get the firemen into the hole).
You get the most intriguing phantom photos, for sure.
The socks are very nice but I was impressed with the hats, slippers, and baby sweater! I just kept on clicking on the bottom of the page and got to see all your wonderful knitting!
:yay: :cheering:
Judy
Really nice jinx!
How do you like the fit of the heel?
It fits great! And was so easy!
I’m almost afraid of that, because the danged things are so time-consuming. But, I have amassed a small fortune in gorgeous sock yarn, just the same. Right now I am taking a break from socks and knitting thrummed mittens for DD. We adopted her from West Africa when she was 8, and she is always cold here in Truckee! I have lots of wool roving in multiple colors, because before I discovered knitting as “my new religion” I was needle-felting.
Thanks, Judy! I had fun knitting every single thing!
They look terrific! Nice job
The hat is lovely, very nice colors. And the socks, I
that the heel and toe are different colors than the rest of the sock. How is the fit on that heel? How does it compare to other handknit heels?
The heel fits beautifully. I have not a lot of experience, as this is only the second sock I’ve knit. This pattern was much easier, and the whole deal is carefully measuring your foot and making a cardboard pattern, ostensibly so you can try the sock on the cardboard foot as you go along. I didn’t wind up doing that, but the whole she-bang makes for a good fitting sock in general. I have high insteps and at times my socks would slip down and wind up in my shoes. This won’t ever happen with these, which is one of the things the designer promises.
The socks and hat are really nice!
Oh what trouble horses get themselves into! Honestly, if there is anything dangerous on any piece of property, you can bet that a horse will find it and get himself in a pickle over it!
I hope the horse wasn’t stuck in that manhole/drain ? for very long! My goodness.
Don’t we know it! We have a horse, and he hasn’t fallen into any holes but does manage to cut himself from time to time. His paddock mate is also biting big chunks of hair and skin out of his hide; may have to separate them.
The funniest mishap I heard about was a Shetland pony who ate a lot of fermented apples off the ground, got drunk, and fell into a swimming pool!
