So very OT, sort of

It’s a great day here, to look out the window and knit. :x:

(isn’t every day???)

Whoa!! Here in Tidewater, Va, we’re looking to get up in the low 70’s today, then drop 25 degrees overnight…man, this weather!!

Wow thats a lotta snow!! We got a lotta water round here in O-RE-GON. The word for the day here is swollen. THe rivers are so swollen in their banks, the ground is swollen with water that trees fall out of the ground in a heavy wind, and houses are sliding off of hills. The good thing about it is that weeds pull out super easy

Ooh, I’m jealous. This has been such a mild winter for Wisconsin (at least that is what the locals tell me), last year it was so cold and I kept hearing how this winter should bring tons of snow but our snow is almost completely gone and we have been in the 30’s and 40’s. I love snowy days so I can craft and bake and just “batten down the hatches” so to speak and snuggle inside.

Enjoy your day!

I am in Gorham Maine and it is near 50 degrees for the 3rd day in a row!!

consider yourselves lucky. the most we ever get where i live is a bit of hail every two years. i have never even seen REAL snow fall.

Neato! Looks like a big puffy merengue on your birdbath!
Luckily we haven’t had gale force winds here…lately… and when the snow stick to the trees it’s like a winter wonderland!

Lana, that looks like here!

What a perfect day for knitting! It’s 55 degrees and sunny here. My gardening juices are kicking in…I feel like I should pull a weed, or something. Enjoy your day

All our weeds are under 9" of snow! I am looking at seed catalogs and greenhouse plans though. I am going to need a greenhouse I think here to grow anything respectable.

wow that just totally missed us!!!

oh look Lana - your fence has a picot edging. :shifty: ok it’s official, I’m a knitting geek!

ROFL at least I wasn’t the only one who thought that’s what it looked like… :rofling:
I’m kind of thankful and kind of disappointed, too - we only had one significant snowfall, and that melted before Christmas :frowning: so the kids didn’t even get to use the sled we bought them yet… On the one hand, I wish we had more snow for the kids to enjoy… on the other hand, I’m grateful because this is my first winter in almost 10 yrs, and I’m sooo glad that I’m getting broken in slowly to the cold again!! (and the heating bills!!!)

It seems the weather is odd all over the country. Too hot, too wet, too dry, too windy.

My friend in NC is jealous that we got snow and she didn’t.
I guess if you’ve never had to drive in it or shovel it, it looks very appealing. :roflhard:

I’m less than an hour from the Wisconsin line. I thought this snow hit Wisconsin too. There was 10" on the bird bath, but it was more like 12" on the walks and driveway, and that was without drifting.

I thought the fence had a picot edging too. Latter in the day it took on a lacey look, but I was too lazy to get the camera.

I walked past the garden seed display at the home center. I felt no tugging. :fingerwag:
We need sunflower seeds for the birds, who were totally absent from the feeders today. :??
