So many stitches

I’m working on a scarf with rows and rows of increases. I have over 700 stitches. How can I manage this? They keep falling off the needle.

You need a long circular needle to hold all those stitches.

I’m using one that is 42" and it’s still a mess. Are there any longer than that?

I think the go as long as 60" but I doubt you’d be able to find them locally–only on line.

There’s 47 and 60" needles, but your LYS may not stock them. You won’t find them in a craft store. You can use 2 or even 3 circulars, put rubber bands on the ends of the ones you’re not using to keep the sts on.

I have the Denise interchangeable circular knitting needle set. By using the 2 extenders in the kit, I could join the 19", 16" and 14" cord for a total of 49" plus the two 4 1/2" needle heads. That would make the circular length a total of 58". There may be additional extensions for sale to make the cord even longer, as there are still other cords available in the kit.

These kits are sold in most local yarn stores. You could also buy 2 kits to make an extra long length.
