Slipping stitches

Hi, I’m knitting baby booties and I’m a bit stuck at one point in the pattern.
It says:
knit 15 stitches then leave the remaining stitches unworked.
slip all sts with yarn infront
sl1 from left to right needles, turn, p11
etc

i did this but after slipping my stitches my yarn was in the wrong place to carry on, as it was halfway back along the row. am i slipping them wrong? do i have to carry the yarn along as i slip each stitch or something?
thanks for your help

You don’t slip all the sts at once. It’s just telling you that when you slip a st, do it with the yarn in front. See where the next row is ‘sl1 from left to right needles, turn, p11’? That’s one st slipped.
