Slipping stitches over others

I am just not picturing this and have a feeling I am just thinking too hard or could there be a mistake?

Row 1: K1, yo, K5, Slip 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th stitches over 1st st, yo K last stitch.

Got the k1, yo, *K5 but cannot wrap brain brain around how you slip the 2nd 3rd etc over a first stich??? How can you slip a stitch over one that is behind it? The fist stitch I am assuming is the first one of the K5 so how can you slip stitches after that over it? What am I missing here?

Thanks! Lisa

I would read it as this–knit the 5 stitches, and then count them as 1,2,3,4,5 from the right tip and lift 2,3,4,and 5 over stitch 1 and off the right tip.

So basically slipping them over the last stitch knitted then? That makes more sense than how I was looking at it. Thank you.
