Slippery needles!

I have a pair of medal needles that I don’t really like. They are the only ones in the size I need in my area. So, my question is what can I do to make them not so slippery? My yarn keeps sliding off and it is really annoying!!! I would much rather prefer circulars, but none to be found.

Thanks!

 I’ve never heard of anyone trying to make needles less slippery. I’m not sure how you could do that. All I can suggest is to try using wooden needles if you can find them.

maybe try rubbing them down with sandpaper, worth a try. go to your home improvement store and tell the employees what you want to do and they’ll be able to give you the correct “grit” of sand paper.

I thought of doing that, but I didn’t know if the yarn would snag on the needle. I guess it is a matter of what you are used to using. I got used to using circular needles and these are so long and straight! Thanks for the help!

Bamboo needles are good for not being too slippery…I like the bamboo a ton
