I made some slipper socks for my son this past week, and they turned out way too small for him. (I used the medium size…go figure!)
So, I gave them to Marvin’s daughter Katie when she came to visit.
I used two strands of Caron Simply Soft in Dark Country Blue.
Those are GORGEOUS Sandy!! I love the color too!

They look great! Glad you had someone with smaller feet to give them to
Those are very pretty–what pattern did you use? I would like to make a pair of these for my mother.

Those are great! I’m still a beginner and haven’t attemptede socks, but I want too. I’m poretty much on my own. Everything I’ve learned so far has been mostly from this site. Anyone have any simple patterns for us beginners for the socks?

Those are great! Glad you had someone else to give them to! I love Caron Simply Soft for the reason that it really is sooo soft. I used it for a baby sweater last month. Love the blue color!!
It took a while, but I FINALLY found the pattern I used. I don’t know why I didn’t save it to my favorites on the computer. Silly me!

The best pattern for a beginner is online, and was created by one of our own forum members!

Thanks for the link!
I’ve printed off the pattern, but still looks complicated to me. I’ll give it a whirl though…maybe surprise myself!

Exactly. It looks hard until you have the yarn and needles in your hand. THEN, you understand all the instruction.
Like Ingrid always says, “Trust the pattern”.
Go ahead…give it a try. You’ll learn SO much, and it really is easy. Trust me.

I just finished another pair of slipper socks. I thought these would go to my son, but my husband has claimed them!
Maybe next time, I should hide the ones I finish! :teehee:
This pair was made with one strand of Caron Simply Soft in Dark Country Blue, and one strand of TLC Amore in Lake Blue.

Thanks! Tonight, my hubby came walking into my craft room, and said, “Look!” He was wearing the slipper socks, and had the cutest smile on his face.
