Slip stitch rib

Has anyone coughNGRDcough done a simple slip stitch rib (K1, Sl 1 K2, purl WS rows) and if so, how did you deal with the curling?

I know, it’s practically straight stockinette with a few slipped stitches thrown in. So whay would a garment designer use it in place of a traditional rib? Does blocking solve the curl? Inquiring minds want to know :??

Thanks

NGRD???

I’m sorry, I’ve never done a slip stitch rib. I can see why it would curl, though. Blocking might take care of it, depending on the yarn, of course. Maybe you could block a little swatch and see. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

 Thanks, I’m a little shocked :rofling:
