I am working on a pair of baby booties http://knittingonthenet.com/patterns/babybootsmj.htm I am doing the top of the foot now and it says to slip all stiches with yarn in front. I’m not really sure what that really means. And I can’t find anything on the web to help me with this. Thanks.
It means whenever they tell you to slip a stitch they want you to move the yarn forward, slip the stitch, then postition the yarn appropriately for the next stitch.
In other words, you would hold the yarn in the purl position before slipping, right?
Oh, and slipping just means moving the stitch from the left needle to the right without working it as a P or K.
