I am making a really beautiful sweater dress for myself. It has been almost a year in the making… (first project I have ever made for me!) The final thing is the sleeve. According to the pattern it is just a tapering rectangle. I want to make a sleeve that is fairly wide on top but tapers with a ribbed cuff at the wrist. Does anyone have such a pattern? (I want to make it flat and seam later). Thanks for the help!

You could check on Ravelry for sweater patterns in your gauge to see how they taper. You might also measure the stitch and row gauge that you’re getting. Decide how many inches in width you’d like at the sleeve top and wrist and calculate the number of stitches required. Then you can decide how many rows between decreases to get that taper for a given length on a top down sleeve.
