Sleeves

Hi, I’m a newbie and have a question for those of you with experience!

I’m knitting the bumble bee sweater from this site (free pattern section) and the directions for knitting the sleeves will result in really long sleeves. I’ve noticed other patterns for children’s sweaters are similar. Is this normal? She’s only 3 and the sleeve length from the underarm to the cuff would be about 12+ inches…that’s awfully long.

Hmmm, my 4 year old who is rather small for his age LOVES it when I measure him :rollseyes: so I just whipped out my measuring tape. He measures 12" from his underarm to just barely past his wrist. I don’t think that seems too long, especially considering how kids grow, you want it to last a while!
