Sleeves help

Hey everyone - it’s me again with the lil sailor sweater instructions. I found the answer on here so though I’d ask again.

For sleeves, it says this after the rib, would anyone be able to break this down for me please?

beg with a k row and working in st st throughout, inc 1 st at each end of 3rd and 0 [4:8:0:4:4] foll - [rs:4th:-:4th:4th] rows then on every foll RS [4th:6th:4th:6th:6th] row to 56 [58:58:64:64:66] sts.

(If it helps, I’m using the 3rd number in brackets.)

Thank you so much

Hello

Start with a knit row for stocking stitch
Then increases are at each end of the 3rd row
(ignore the next bit because the third figure in brackets is 0, so you do that bit zero times.)
Then increase on following 4th right side row, so
Row 4 purl
Row 5 this is the 1st RS row, just knit
Row 6 purl
Continue…
7 this is the 2nd rs row, k
8 p
9 this is the 3rd rs row, k
10 p
11 this is the 4th rs row - this is the increase row, increase 1 stitch each end

Continue like this until you have 64 stitches.

I don’t know how many stitches you started with so I can’t say exactly how many rows you are working.
You might like to write out all the increase rows on your pattern before you start.

Is this enough to get you on track? Or do you need more?

Thank you so much! You’ve made my life so much easier - this is a gift for a family friend and I can’t wait to get it finished x

The directions become a bit confusing when they tell you " every foll RS [4th:6th:4th:6th:6th] "
but the RS refers to the smallest size. Your directions are every 4th row.
So increase on rows 3, 7,11,15,19,23 and so on until you reach 64sts.
