Sleeves for a sweater

Ok, if you are doing sleeves on circulars, but treating them as straights (ie, no knitting in the round), could you not do both sleeves at the same time? (with separate balls of yarn, of course) And then maybe you wouldn’t run into the problem that Nicole ran into where she knitted at different times, and the tension was different.

For you sweater gurus, would this work? I am concerned because as you know I tend to table projects - I just started my #1 sleeve - could easily catch up the other one on a set of straights and then transfer it and then do both at the same time…

I ALWAYS do my sleeves together on a circ!! Life is so much easier that way. This way you know they are the same length and that your increases are on the same row. The only thing I would recommend is to put a stitch marker between the two sleeves to prevent you from ‘forgetting’ to do the second sleeve and automatically turning and working the same sleeve an extra few rows. Don’t ask me why I found it necessary to come up with this idea.

I always knit them at the same time also. It really does make it easier when it comes to getting them the same length. :XX:

Ingrid: I JUST asked you about this in the other thread!
