Why is Debbie Bliss all in one teddy pattern saying
To only knit arm length 51/2 inches from cast on? Sleeves don’t seem long enough. Am I reading it correctly?
Sleeve length problem
Is the bear pretty big or is it small? The pattern may be smaller than you think. Also, typically when you stuff it it gets a bit bigger! I hope I could be of help
Welcome to the forum!
Babies do tend to have shorter arms but you can knit these to any length you think appropriate. There are mentions in the Ravelry projects of lengthening the sleeves or legs so you’re certainly not the only one to question the lengths. It’s always easy to roll up or turn back the sleeves if they turn out too long.
There are also errata mentioned on the Ravelry page which are worth checking out although nothing about sleeves.
Oops I just realized I looked up the wrong pattern and accidentally came across one for an actual stuffed bear
I’ve made a Debbie Bliss teddy bear (the actual bear) before so it’s easy to confuse. That was the first thing I thought of too. At that, I bet she has more than one bear pattern!
Thank you ladies. I plan on making the actual Debbie Bliss teddy bear also Wish me luck.
