Sleeve increases

I am having a bit of trouble understanding this pattern for the sleeves.
If I could get a bit of clarification, I would really appreciate it.

The pattern says: Continue in pattern with panels now set, inc. 1 st. at both ends of 9th row following and every following 4th row to 58 sts.

Does that mean this…?

Rows 1-8: Pattern
Row 9: Increases
Rows 10-12: Pattern
Row 13: Increases
Rows 14-21: Pattern
Row 22: Increases

Like, counting down the rows, increasing every 9th row then 4th row then 9th row then 4th row?

It sounds strange to me, so I want to make sure I am understanding this properly.
I’m sorry if this sounds silly, sometimes I can be quite…stupid. LOL.

It seems that every designer has his or her own way of writing these increases. This is a little unusual but you’ve almost got it. Increase at each end on row 9 and then every following 4th row. Increases on rows 9,13,17,21,25,29 and so on.
It’s a good question and one that’s often confusing.
