Sleeve increases while maintaining a pattern

I am knitting a sweater which is all done in this stitch pattern:
RS rows (k3, p5,k2) across, end k1
WS rows Purl

When I get to the sleeves after ribbing it says:
Begin working in stitch pattern and increase 1 stitch at each edge every 4th row keeping the pattern.

I’m unsure how best to increase.

Thanks!

I think there are as many ways to increase as there are knitters!

You’ll want to do “mirrored” increases–right-leaning on one side, left leaning on the other. Here are a couple of ways–I suggest doing a swatch to practice them and also decide which you prefer.

And mirrored invisible increases.
