Sleeve help (M1B thru the back)

When knitting sleeves, does it matter which make one (thru the back) you use, that is MO right or MO left?

I’d doubt it, but I always increase to the left if the increase is nearer to the left edge, and vice versa for right increases

That would be opposite I think. Use a M1L on the right edge (leans left toward the center) and M1R on the left side (leans right toward the center.
