On my pattern for spacer stitches it calls for sl1 purlwise on right side but image shows the effect it produces. This doesnt seem correct and certainly not attractive. Thoughts or suggestions please?
What is the name of your pattern?
Are you slipping the stitches with your yarn in front? I’ve always that YIF was always specified by the pattern and perhaps it’d look better with the yarn in back when you slip stitches?
If it’s not telling you to move the yarn (if that’s what you’re doing), leave it where it is and put your needle into the stitch as if to purl, but slip it instead.

I agree with Shintoga. The pattern that you posted never says to bring the yarn to the front. Simply purl 1, bring the yarn to the back, sl 1 purlwise, yarn forward and then purl 1.
