I have some biggie print Rowan yarn and a pattern for a sweater that calls for size 36 needle. I am wondering about using 35s. I can’t seem to locate the 36 size on the net! thanks. lisa
Size 36 needles for Biggie Print Rowan
Do a swatch to see if you get gauge. I wouldn’t think it would be that different, but for a sweater gauge is important.
I will do the gauge but why would number 20 needles be needed when they can’t be found? Lisa
Could be a gasp typographical error too.
Wow and the price on those isn’t too heinous!
But they’re only 12 inches long, would be kinda tricky to squish all the stitches for a bulky sweater on them.
But I’d think that you wouldn’t need too many stitches for a bulky sweater. I’ve made baby blankets on large needles–I think they’re 35, and using 4 strands accommodated 35 stitches easily.
What’s the maximum number of stitches called for in the pattern?
