Sirdar baby/child's hat pattern

The pattern I’m using is the Design E hat from Sirdar’s Little Sweet Peas. What do T3F and T3B mean in this row: K3, p2, T3F, T3B,p2 k3? I assume F and B mean front and back. Thanks so much for any help!

It’s like a cable - twist 3 sts to the front and twist 3 to the back. The pattern should tell you if you knit 1 or 2 and/or purl one or 2 of them, and how many go on the cable needle and what order you do them. Look at the notes, between the gauge and the cast on instructions.

Sue is right, usually the pattern will tell you somewhere exactly what special abbreviations mean. If it doesn’t this is what one of my stitch guides has for those things.

T3B-- (twist 3 back) slip 1 stitch to a cable needle and hold in back, knit 2 from left needle, then purl the stitch from the cable needle.

T3F–(twist 3 front) slip next 2 stitches to cable needle and hold in front, purl the next stitch on the left needle, then knit the stitches from the cable needle.
