Have any of you ever made this pattern? I have been intrigued by it since I saw it…I think it could be so pretty, if it fit (which it doesnt in the picture), even for us more full figured girls.

I have seen on craftster where people downsized it and made the neck less floofy (nobody needs to see this 45 year old’s shoulders) and more fitted. How would you go about doing that? Also on craftster (which is down right now, hence the questions here), I have seen several good suggestions for yarn substitutions to make this sweater more…affordable.

With Edit: after doing a search - it looks like many people knitted it on smaller needles/tighter gauge, and did extra decreases on the neck before doing the ribbing. Does this make sense to you all?

I am a little concerned about the cable down the middle - I learned to do a cable in a class (very small sample) but have yet to actually do a project with a cable in it!

I saw one that a girl had done out of Kool wool - it was very attractive and very reasonable (she got the Kool Wool at Smiley’s). I think I am going to go ahead and order the yarn.
