Simple vest with cables?

my 14 year old DD has asked me to make a vest with “two or three chunky cables”…

ok…i’m a beginner…can anyone point me towards an achievable pattern??? <g>

Do you want pullover or open in the front? What size?

Perhaps something like this? Very basic.

Ooops, nevery mind, I see you were referring to the other post.

You should be able to do that one; just a little shaping and cables aren’t really that difficult.

I was going to suggest the same pattern. I think it’s a pretty simple pattern.

If you read the notes with the pattern it’s geared to the new knitter who’s only done the likes of scarves, etc. Looks quite easy.

I made this vest last winter. I am a fairly new knitter and I did fine with it and I love it!
