Simple Child's Pullover

I recently discovered that I have a godsister (long story ;)). Anywhoo, my mother wants to get something special for her. I thought that since I don’t knit anything for anyone for free (no, no) :|, it would be “special” to knit a sweater for her … … … for free!

Sooooo … would anyone care to join me? I’m making a simple pullover (I’m short on time ;)) and I’m only on row 3 of stockinette. It’s a Lionbrand Pullover.

Hope you can join  If not, I’ll try to remember to post updates anyway.

what a cute pullover! What colors are you using?
Holly

The store didn’t have the Fushia or Banana, so I subbed w/ white and red. I’m putting the white w/ purple and the red w/ teal. It works out pretty well

PROGRESS UPDATE:

11.5" of the back done are done! Who-hoo!

PROGRESS UPDATE

14.25" of the back completed!! Almost at the neck shaping. Whoo-Ha!!

Aaaww shucks  Thank you…

Unfortuanately, I don’t have a digicam.

One of these days, I’ll get one … when they come down in price!

How about a scanner? You can easily take pics with a regular camera, get prints, and then scan them into your comp… I’ve done that many times.

I don’t have a scanner either  Don’t laugh… my idea of a high tech computer accessory is a cheapo microphone

Hey, maybe I can take the actual finished sweater to Ritz. You think they’ll take a couple pics of it for me? Just a thought … sigh

Onward to cast on the sleeves. I will make these sleeves one at a time because I only have one ball of yarn; I don’t feel like winding into two separate balls. Call me lazy

Sleeve #1 … HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAAAAaaay!!

Tee hee! Your progress is thrilling, even without pictures.

Don’t forget that many stores have a scanning station in their photo station, where you can make digital copies of your pictures. Also, many stores will give you a CD of your pictures along with your prints for a little extra $$. We’ve got to see the finished project!

I hear ya!
I’d rather save that money toward buying my own cam  … but until then, I’ll do my best to get a pic of the finished project for you guys!
