Shoulder shaping

Hi;

I am knitting this sweater (http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATTleo.html) and not sure how to proceed with shaping the left shoulder.
from the instructions:

Shape shoulders and back neck
Right shoulder:
Row 1 [RS]: BO 6[7, 7, 8, 8] sts, work to last 5 sts, k2tog, k3.
Rows 2 and 4 [WS]: P3, p2tog, work to end.
Row 3 [RS]: BO 6[7, 7, 8, 9] sts, work to last 5 sts, k2tog, k3.
Row 5 [RS]: BO 7[7, 8, 9, 9] sts, work to last 5 sts, k2tog, k3.
Row 6 [WS]: Work even in patt as set.
Row 7: BO rem 7[8, 8, 9, 9] sts in patt.

Reattach yarn and work left shoulder to match right shoulder, reversing all shaping, using k2tog tbl and p2tog tbl decreases in place of k2tog and p2tog.

When the pattern says to reverse all shaping, does that mean I go for example in row 1: k3, k2tog tbl, pattern, BO? if this is the case, then does that mean I would have to reattach the yarn after finishing each row involving binding off?

Please help…thank you xxx

No, you wouldn’t bind off at the end of the row.

You can reverse shaping by doing the bind offs on the wrong side rather than the right side, and then p2tog, p3 at the end. This way the bind offs are at the shoulder edge and the decreases are at the neck edge.

aah okay…that means I don’t need k2tog tbl and p2tog tbl…awesome!
Thanks :smiley:
