I’m working on my first sweater. It’s the v-neck vest from pg. 79 of the fall 2006 Knit Simple. I need to seam the shoulders together, but not sure how to do it because (1) the front and back have different numbers of stitches and (2) the front and back are in different patterns. The front has a cable pattern and the back is moss stitch. All the stitches have been bound off. I was going to try fake grafting, but I’m not sure if that will work if I don’t have the same number of stitches front and back. There are more stitches in front to account for the different gauge of the cables versus the moss stitch. Thanks!
bump for someone who knows!
Hmmm. Can you knit a few of the extra stitches together so you end up with an equal number of stitches? That’s the only thing I can think of.
