Short rows in double fabric

Has anyone ever done short rows in a piece of double thickness knitting (the type where you knit one, yarn forward, slip purlwise, yarn back etc etc)?

I’m working on a hat where I think it would be useful but I can’t quite work out how to do it. Has anyone ever tried it, and if so, please can you tell me how?

Thanks a lot,

I haven’t tried to do short row shaping in double knitting; however, in the Lucy Neatby dvd entitled “Double Knitting” she does explain how to do decreasing using the more “common” techniques.
