Short row problem

I’m knitting the Botanical Yoke pullover by Purl Soho and I’m now doing the short rows which shape the collar. I’ve got to this point in the pattern:

Short Rows 5 and 6: Work in established rib to wrapped stitch, work wrapped stitch with its wrap, k1, p2, wrp-t.
Next Round: *K2, p2, repeat from * to end of round, working remaining wrapped stitch with its wrap.

But I’ve got two wrapped stitches not one! One at the end of the 5th row and one at the end of the 6th.

Can anybody advise what I do next? It’s almost finished!!!

I love the look of this sweater.
You could pick up both wrapped stitches as you work the round. You can always send a note to Purl Soho to check.

Does the BOR fall between the two wrapped stitches? That could account for why it says one remaining. I’d do as salmonmac says. They have to be resolved when you come to them.

That’s what I ended up doing. It’s ended up more of a crew neck than the collar in the picture but I don’t mind that. I asked my mum her preference (I’m now knitting the same one for her) and she’s not keen on the high collar either!

I see that several of the Ravelry projects have modified the neck. It looks good to me no matter.
What a good gift for your Mom.

When she saw what I was making she asked if I would make one for her. Her birthday is in October and she said it could be for that. I don’t mind as she’s very difficult to buy for!

I had a response from Purl Soho. They didn’t answer my question about the wrapped stitches but said you don’t start measuring for the collar until you’ve worked all the short rows so that’s probably how I’ve ended up with a round neck

That makes sense. Usually the short rows to lift the back of a sweater are worked toward the top of the back but before the collar or neck.

Having said that the short rows seemed to be either side of the BOR marker so I’ve had to put a label to tell me which is the back! I’m still pleased with it though.

You should be pleased. You’ve done amazing! I like your neck better. You improved on the pattern IMHO.

Thank you. Hopefully mum will feel the same when I’ve finished hers.
