Short Row Cap With Edging

This is my first knitted cap, and my first non-scarf/non-rectangular project. It was knit on straight needles and uses short-row shaping to create its shape.

I put a reverse sc edging on it to prevent the stockinette from curling and to give it a more professional look.

It looks great!

 I love the cap! Great work. I think that the single crochet was a nice touch. :cheering:

Great job! Did you use a pattern or just wing it?

Great job!

The hat looks really good, and it fits! Great job!

That looks great! What yarn did you use? I  that color!

It’s Red Heart 100% Virgin Orlon Acrylic Fiber - It’s actually rather soft. Certainly soft enough for a hat! I started out using a pattern, but once I understood how the short-rows work I just sort of did it out of my head.

Cool concept hat pattern!
I’m just going to do one of those.

I also use reverse sc to in finishing work.
It doesn’t look like crochet.
