The dark purple color doesn’t photograph that easily. It looks a bit dark in the pic.

That’s great. Is it done in stockinette or garter? I’ve seen pictures where most are garter, but one or two seem to be in stockinette except for the border.
It’s all garter stitch which is nice because it is completely reversible. There is no wrong side at all.
I just wondered if the pattern could be knit in stockinette, as a couple of the pictures looked like it, except for the ruffle.
I suppose it could be done in stockinette but there are no stitches picked up for the ruffle, it’s done in a unique way, so I’m not sure if the ruffle would combat the curling edge of stockinette or not. Also stockinette would change the shape as the stitches are longer.
