I am making a shawl. For row one, starting right after the cast on, it tells me to knit to last 2 stitches, increase 1 stitch, knit 1. Doesn’t that leave one stitch left? So is it just assumed that I knit that last stitch? Am I misreading something? TIA!
Here is the pattern:
Cast on 18 sts.
Row 1 (right side) Slip 1 stitch, increase 1 stitch, knit to last 2 stitches, increase 1 stitch, knit 1.
Row 2 (wrong side) Slip 1 stitch, purl to end of row.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until there are 100 stitches, ending with a row 2.
Front points
Next row (right side) Slip 1, knit 43 and place these 44 stitches onto holder; bind off 12 stitches, knit remaining 44 stitches. For left point work as follows:
Next row (wrong side) Slip 1 stitch, purl to end.
Next row (right side) Slip 1 stitch, knit to last 3 stitches, knit 2 together, k1.
Repeat last 2 rows until 3 stitches remain.
Next row Bind off all stitches.
Right point
Working with 44 stitches from holder, work as follows:
Next row (wrong side) Slip 1 stitch, purl to end.
Next row (right side) Slip 1 stitch, knit 2 together, knit to end.
Repeat last 2 rows until 3 stitches remain.
Next row Bind off all stitches.
Ruffle
With right side of shawl facing, pick up 1 stitch in every stitch around outside of shawl.
Row 1 Knit working 2 stitches in every stitch.
Row 2 Knit.
Row 3 *Knit 1, knit 2 stitches in 1 stitch; repeat from * to end.
Row 4 Knit.
Bind off all stitches loosely.
