Hey guys! I’m back!
Started up knitting again, and this time it’s a shawl.
I’m making it for my minister, and just wanted your opinion on how large I should make it. I don’t have her EXACT measurements, but she’s petite; maybe 5’4" or so. So, if you could help, thanks!! 
It depends what shape it is - rectangle, triangle or circular.

How tall are you or your mother? You can try it on and see how long it is and if you are happy with it.

Mkay. I’m probably about 5’1" or so, although I was about 4’10" a few weeks ago. :noway: My mom, though, is 5’8". I’ll see.
Make it a little bigger than you’d want it.

To me, a shawl can’t really be too big - you just wrap it around yourself all the more securely. So if it fits your mother, it should do for your 5’4" minister (btw, that’s how tall I am). I like to take the ends of a triangle shawl and tie them then toss the ends over my shoulders - or maybe use a pin to keep it from coming open.
But a shawl that is too small? Nope, can’t do a thing with it. No good, so give it to a kid.
That is sooo drop-dead gorgeous! You have really good taste. Not to mention knitting skills!
