Been there, done that! Sleeves are a bugger. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve frogged a sleeve to at least the armhole bind-offs…and ripped out more length to shorten the mountain gorilla sleeve…then worked my sleeve cap AGAIN. (Too long is usually my issue, although I’ve been known to “overdo it” and need to add length!) This is why I never knit two sleeves at the same time. My first sleeve is my trial. If it’s good to go…then on to sleeve #2.
This is also why I never start with knitting the sleeves, as many folks do. I knit the fronts and back…then one sleeve…clip it all together for a fitting…and then go from there.
An ill-fitting sleeve will ruin a sweater, so I applaud you for working on your sleeves til they are right!
Great looking. Good work on the collar. I think it looks fine as is, although I’m sure you don’t plan to wear it bare armed. How are the sleeves coming?
I finally started the shouler capping on the last sleeve. I had to rip out a little bit because for some reason I knit 10 stitches on the purl side of the sleeve and didn’t find it until after I was about 10 rows down. SO I had to frog and go back. This should be an FO by weeks end though. A few more rows and a little stitching and I’m done.
