Sharing a "speed bump" before and after photo, bind off on a bind off to reduce curling

I thought I’d share this if anyone is interested in it.
I chopped several inches off my knitted top and re knitted the bottom with a few repeats of chevron rib lace. I used a regular knit bind off. Here’s the result, it’s curling up a lot

And here after I have added a speed bump, or an extra bind off on the bind off. I worked from the wrong side, picked up and knitted through the lower leg of the bind off stitch until I had 2 stitches then passed 1st over 2nd as I a regular knit bind off. Picked up and knitted 1 more and bound off, etc.
The result is still a little curly but it’s much improved and also I think the bind off is prettier.
