I’m not sure how one replies on these forums but this is to the person who replied to my question. From the books I’ve looked at-all of the patterns seem to have a decrease for the neck as you suggested where the extra stitches might come in. However, this pattern is straight across and then you just bind off as I wrote. So is that unusual to not decrease for the neckline? Thanks for your help. Isamae

The first row has you bind off across the back, but the next rows have you binding off at the arm edge and the neck edge. You’ll only be able to bind off at the arm edge and the neck edge at the beginning of those rows, though. So as you start the neck edge, you’ll do your bind offs there.
