Shaping raglans

Need some help - working on sleeves on my first sweater.
I am shaping raglans now, and the pattern says “cast off 2 sts beg next to rows.”

Do I cast off ONE stitch at each END of the row (for 2 rows), or cast off TWO stitches at the BEGINNING of row one, and then cast off another TWO stitches at the BEGINNING of row two?

ie: Row 1: cast off, (knit pattern) cast off
Row 2: cast off, (knit pattern), cast off

OR Row 1: cast off, cast off (knit pattern)
Row 2: cast off, cast off (knit pattern)
