Shaping arms

Hey everybody,

I’m working on my first clothing object, the Pinon Shell out of Knitter’s K79. Anyway, it gives the instruction to Decrease 1 stitch on each side every Right Side row 4, and I’m unsure of what this means. What I think it means is to go ahead and decrease 2 stitches every 4th time I switch to the right side. In other words, I knit 8 rows then decrease 2 stitches, one on each side. Am I going in the right direction?

I recently did a pattern which said to decrease every 4th right side row. I assumed this to mean every 8th row. It didn’t. After I noticed that this piece was getting way too long, I realized it meant every 4th row on a right side.

Count how many rows it will take to do it both ways and see which one makes more sense based on what length you have to end up with.

Thanks, Ingrid, knew I could count on you
