Shaping arm holes

Hi all,

I’m knitting a jumper at the moment and I’ve started to shape the arm holes by casting off three stitches and then doing some more decreases. All good so far. The pattern then calls for some more rows to be knitted without shaping until the arm hole measures 13cm. I’m presuming I should measure from the first cast off row as the starting point?

Many thanks for your help!

Yes, measure straight up from that cast off row. If you can follow that row across toward the middle of the body then place a marker, you can measure straight up to the current row.

(You don’t want to measure around the edge of the armhole shaping.)

That’s brilliant, thank you! After I have knit the 13cm I have to do some neck shaping and then remeasure the arm hole again so I’ll know where to measure from now!

Have fun finishing this part!
