Shaping raglan for the sleeve. at this point i have 67sts
pattern says to
cast of 3sts next 2 rows ( 61sts )
decrease 1sts each end 5 rows ( 49sts )
which i have done
Then this is where i am unsure. Next the pattern says.
Then on the 4th row, then on the foll 18 alt row
still 15sts
Does this mean decrease on 4th row and then on the 18 row. till i have 15sts
or
decrease 4th - 8th- 12th -16th - then 18th. till i get to the same amount of sts
Confused
From what you have said, and not knowing the pattern, I would say it means do the first decrease on the fourth row then the following 18 alternate rows (i.e. every second row after the fourth row). What I do, especially if I’m following a pattern with a certain number of rows, is mark the decrease rows down on a piece of paper so, in this case, every second row I will mark a “I” until I have 18 of them. Hope this helps.
The pattern is by king cole and its jacket and hoddie in bk 4924 if this helps… Thank you for your reply
