I can’t get this right I don’t think I am reading pattern correctly

What is the name of your pattern?
I usually write out the row numbers and cross them off as I knit.
After the “Work 1 row” direction and following the double asterisk, dec at the next row (call it row 1) and then on rows 3,5,7,9,11 etc up to and including row 25. At the same time dec at the armhole on rows 1,2,3,4,5 and then 7,9,and 11. That’ll be a total of 21 decreases in this section taking you from 33 to 12 sts.
Anytime there is a zero for your size, skip that directions.
